MapleShine International Talk Award

Introduction

MapleShine International Talk Award (MIT Award) is calling for students in Grade 4-12 from all countries. This is an international public speaking competition in English. Show off your speaking talents on the virtual stage and shine bright in front of an international audience!





Competitions are divided into 3 groups. Grade 4-6, Grade 7-9 and Grade 10-12. Each student submits a speech video to participate the competition. The top 10 in each group are to compete for People’s Choice Award (Speech Video Competition). The top 10 in Grade 7-9 and Grade 10-12 are invited to compete for MapleShine International Talk Award (Live Speech Competition).

People’s Choice Award

Speech Video Competition (Grade 4-12)

• Medal and Certificate

• $100 USD

• Featured on MapleShine website / social media


* All the participants who submit a speech video will get a participation certificate.

Registration

This competition is open to the students in Grade 4-12 around the world. The registration is FREE.

Step 1 Submit registration form

Step 2 Receive competition instruction email about rules and topics.

  • Feb 1


Step 3 Submit speech video

  • Deadline March 6


Step 4 Announce Speech Video Competition TOP 10 in each group

  • March 9


Step 5 TOP 10 compete for ‘People’s Choice Award’ in each group  (Grade 4-6, 7-9, 10-12) by public online voting

  • March 9-26


Step 6 TOP 10 (Grade 7-12) attend Final Round Orientation ZOOM meeting

  • March 19 @ 7:30PM EST


Step 7 TOP 10 compete for 'MapleShine International Talk Award' in each group (Grade 7-9, 10-12) in the Live Speech Competition

  • Grade 10-12 @ March 26, 2:00 PM  EST

  • Grade 7-9 @ March 26, 7:30 PM  EST 


Step 8 Announce the final winners

Location

The whole event is held virtually. The Live Speech Competition is to be conducted on ZOOM meeting.
